Marisa Willoughby-Holland was born in Jamaica in 1975. She moved to England in 1992 to study art and has lived there ever since. Despite this she maintains strong links to her homeland making annual visits to the island.

Marisa's paintings are defined by themes of femininity, motherhood and fertility. She works to capture an emotion or a relationship in paintings that are introspective and spiritual.
